| About the Capital Gardens Beehive Pots
A remarkable collection of antique vessels originally used for transporting wine, olive oil and molasses, these Grecian inspired Beehive Pots are as true in detail as possible. Their fiberglass construction is lightweight, durable and maintenance free.
Recent discoveries of pot shards tell of ancient winemaking as early as 3500 B.C. and DNA points to Turkey and Greece as where the earliest winemaking and the domestication of the Eurasian grapevine took place. These vessels are as authentic in design as they come. Their provenance is confirmed by the government seals attached to them bringing a remarkable accent to your home or storefront.
About the Material
Lightweight, yet sturdy, these fiberglass vessels will weather the elements with ease. The high strength material uses fibers of glass as a reinforcing agent in polymers or plastics. The real benefit lies in the surface to weight ratio – in other words – for their impressive size, they are lightweight and durable. They will easily contain the necessary potting soil without fear of cracking, splitting or warping. A serious long term alternative to terracotta and lead (and even some other metals) the Beehive Pots are ideal for use inside and out.
About the Finish
The stunning beauty of a weathered terracotta finish reflects this Mediterranean style perfectly. The powder coating process ensures a highly protective, long lasting finish. Resistant to fading, chipping, scratching and UV rays, your fiberglass fountain will look new every day. Colors stay bright and vibrant longer. These hand-molded planters may experience minor variations in color.
